Brutalesque table
Brutalesque table
Sofa table
Drawing inspiration from Brutalist Architecture, the Brutalesque sofa table plays with simple materials structurally composed to result in an intelligent, light and transparent construction. A square pipe is turned by 45° and joined in mitred corners to become a square frame. Round slender column feet, set back from the corner points architecturally elevate the elegant outline. The touch-points with the architecture are accentuated with hand turned solid brass cylinders. Through the 45° turn of the framing material, a tempered glass with a 45° edge rests within it naturally and a unique character piece is created. The hand crafted object is a light, almost elegantly flying center-piece to any contemporary sofa setting.
